Testimonial of Superior Service

Keene State College formally bid out auction services for the selling of a variety of food service equipment in our old student dining services facility.  Richard Basinger Auctioneers, Ltd. was awarded this bid.  This firm provided the most favorable bid package to the institution.

I had the distinct pleasure of working with Richard Basinger throughout the entire auction process.  He came to Keene State College in the middle of November and spent three full days inventorying and setting up the auction fixtures and equipment.  His strong marketing program included food service industry direct mailings, inventory lists and over 100 pictures of items posted on his web site and a very effective local newspaper advertising campaign.

Richard and his staff arrived the day before the auction to make sure everything was in order.  He and his brother conducted a a very sucessful auction on 12/05/05.  The college was able to provide items to local merchants and non-profit agencies as well as serving the used food service equipment buyers in attendance.  Keene State College gained some much needed revenue from the auction, while adhering to our sustainable practices of recycling used items.  An added bonus was that we avoided landfill costs and lowered the demolition costs of the facility's future renovation project budget.

I am very impressed with the Richard Basinger Auctioneers, Ltd. firm.  They are professional, personable, and willing to work very hard to ensure the auction is a success.  Their follow-up reports and detailed inventory system provided our auditors with more than enough documentation to make asset adjustments and expenditure and revenue entries.

In summary, hiring Richard Basinger Auctioneers, Ltd. was perhaps one of the smartest things I have done in my twenty years of service to Keene State College.  Richard and his crew performed above and beyond the services they said they would.  They are a great team to work with.  I would not hesitate to hire them again and I strongly recommend anyone seeking these types of services to contact Richard.

I wanted to let you know how happy I was to have you work with me to sell my business & equipment. For 2 years I had tried to sell it myself and nothing seemed to work. After getting your name off your website, I called and you came out to check my business the next day.
